Sen. Chuck Schumer Named 2016 Porker of the Year

Rock Solid, Legitimate News

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) was named  2016 Porker of the Year by Citizens Against Government Waste for his leading role in the effort to create supposedly “debt-free” college for all students.

Leader Schumer’s “free college” scheme would exacerbate, rather than resolve, the $1.27 trillion student loan bubble. Sen. Schumer “won” the dubious distinction after receiving an overwhelming 58 percent of the vote in an online poll of CAGW members and supporters.

The Porker of the Year silver medal winners, with 23 percent of the vote, were Reps. John Culberson (R-Texas), Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), and Tom Rooney (R-Fla.) for their push to bring back wasteful and corruptive earmarks just days after voters signaled their discontent with business as usual in Washington in last November’s elections.
