Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Bubba Watson have done it. So are 78 junior players at Fair Oaks Ranch Golf & Country Club near San Antonio, Texas this weekend. What do they all have in common? They have participated in an American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) event.

Not only has the AJGA returned to a Fair Oaks Ranch for the first time since 2014, the AJGA is surpassing their 2,000th event this weekend.

Going into the second round of the 36-hole stroke play event on Sunday beginning at 8:30 am, the top first-round results from the AJGA Preview for ages 12-15 participants at the Fair Oaks Ranch Live Oak Course (Par: Boys: 36-36—72; Girls: 36-36-72. Of the 78 players, from 23 states and three foreign countries in the tournament field, 36 of them are from the state of Texas. Of those 36, four are from San Antonio or Fair Oaks Ranch. Joe Fontana, Zach Heffernan, Daniel Stripling and Will Williamson.

Started in 1978, the AJGA has grown into the premier junior golf organization in the country with more than 6,600 members from 50 states and 55 foreign countries. The tournament is one of 15 events in as a part of the Junior Golf Hub Preview Series

The Awards Ceremony will begin at 3 p.m.

Many AJGA alumni have risen to the top of amateur, collegiate and professional golf as juniors. Former AJGA juniors have compiled more than 830 victories on the PGA and LPGA Tours. Other AJGA alumni Webb Simpson, Sergio Garcia, Hunter Mahan, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Zach Johnson, Justin Thomas, Stacy Lewis, Ariya Jutanugarn, Alison Lee, Lexi Thompson, Inbee Park, Paula Creamer, Brittany Lincicome, Cristie Kerr and Morgan Pressel.
