Mainstream media ratings continue to linger downward (Source)

Mainstream Media struggles with biased news.

TIP JAR Options. Thank you for supporting Independent Journalism

It’s becoming almost laughable to watch mainstream media linger downward as they continue to prove just how fake they are. More than 70% of all voters now follow news online with mobile devices, phones or tablets, survey data from Pew Research Center says.

One case in point is Scott Pelley of CBS News. Heat Street reports:

“Since last November, the Evening News managing editor and chief 60 Minutes correspondent has shrugged off any hint of objectivity in his cheap shots and barbs at the president. Maybe Pelley has seen too many episodes of The Newsroom, but he seems to think his nightly news program is an opportunity to lecture the country on why the president is terrible and why Pelley is such an insightful genius.

Unfortunately for CBS, it doesn’t seem like the country enjoys Pelley’s nightly lectures. A look at Evening News ratings from December to April show a massive slide in viewership.

During the week of December 5, CBS was (as usual) dead last among the three broadcast evening news programs, at 7,621,000 viewers with 1,702,000 in the key demo. By comparison, NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt had a total 9,182,000 viewers.

Fast forward to April, however, and you’ll see a precipitous decline among all networks, notably with Pelley’s show getting hit the hardest.”

Mainstream Media meme.

Then there was the embarrassment of Rachel Maddox of MSNBC this month. Tingles spread down liberal left legs across the California, Oregon, Washington, Massachusetts and other favorites Michael Moore hangouts as Maddox tweeted “BREAKING: We’ve got Trump tax returns.”

Former Hillary Clinton Press Secretary Brian Fallon announced it as the “Holy Grail.” This was really, really, really urgent the left declared, broadcasted and avowed. Tune in for her 9 pm report. Poor Maddow. The condescending smirk almost fell off her face when The White House released a statement about half an hour before her gleeful announcement was to air:

“Before being elected President, Mr. Trump was one of the most successful businessmen in the world with a responsibility to his company, his family and his employees to pay no more tax than legally required. That being said, Mr. Trump paid $38 million dollars even after taking into account large scale depreciation for construction, on an income of more than $150 million dollars, as well as paying tens of millions of dollars in other taxes such as sales and excise taxes and employment taxes and this illegally published return proves just that.”

Immediately, rational people laughed as they realized Maddow’s 20-minute monologue was nothing more than innuendo, fake conspiracy theories, and her trademark self-importance. MSNBC, Maddox and liberal superstars in Denver, San Francisco, Austin and Washington D.C. were suddenly demolished. Some observers say this was one of Trumps best nights since he took office and a turning point blow to mainstream media.  Others likened it the go down in media history alongside Geraldo Rivera’s infamous “Al Capone’s Vault” special as a remarkable example of over-hyped, on-air self destruction.
