Video reveals CNN producer admits Fake News
CNN CEO Jeff Zucker pushed fake Russian narrative
Mainstream media took another stunning blow when three reporters from CNN were forced to resign Monday after their fake news about a pre-inaugural meeting between Russia and the Trump team had to be retracted. Some are calling CNN the “Fake News Network” when Thomas Frank, Eric Lichtblau, and Lex Haris were identified as those who resigned after their article appeared on CNN’s website last Thursday. The network removed the article the following evening.
CNN also apologized to Anthony Scaramucci, a Trump transition team member, who was falsely reported to be involved in a meeting with a Russian investment fund member.
Even more evidence against CNN’s fake news bias was revealed in video footage supplied by Project Veritas showing a Sr. Producer admitting to their deceptive reporting. John Bonifield is caught on tape saying the CNN narrative is mostly made up about Russian collusion with the Trump administration, stating, “I haven’t seen any good enough evidence to show that the President committed a crime.”
“I think the President is probably right to say, like, look you are witch hunting me…”–CNN senior producer
Bonifield confirms that CNN staff is ideologically biased against Trump, stating, “I know a lot of people don’t like him and they’d like to see him get kicked out of office…I think the President is probably right to say, like, look you are witch hunting me…you have no real proof.”
In the video (see below) Bonifield says the Russian stories have been good for CNN’s rating and that orders from CEO Jeff Zucker have directed CNN to push Russia lead stories at the expense of others news. He even states, “And the CEO of CNN said in our internal meeting, he said ‘good job everybody covering the Climate Accords, but we’re done with it let’s get back to Russia.’”
Arguably the most telling Bonifield comment about Russia was “it’s mostly bullsh*t right now. Like, we don’t have any giant proof…if it was something really good, it’d leak.”
CNN accepted the resignations Monday of three journalists involved in a retracted story about a supposed investigation into a pre-inaugural meeting between an associate of President Donald Trump and Kirill Dmitriev, the head of a Russian investment fund. The report indicated two Democratic senators were inquiring if Scaramucci was making a deal to lift sanctions from Russia.
When learning of CNN’s retraction, Scaramucci tweeted the network news station “did the right thing. Classy move. Apology accepted. Everyone makes mistakes. Moving on.”
The latest viewership ratings for CNN were unfavorable even before this latest fiasco. TVNewser Scoreboard for Wednesday, June 21, 2017 showed the popular 8 p.m. slot with CNN having a rating of 821,000 against Fox News at 3,298,000. MSNBC is a distant second at 1,534,000.
